The Institute of Business and Economic Research is an organized research unit of the University of California, Berkeley whose mission is to promote research by faculty and graduate students in the fields of business and economics. The Institute carries out its mission by organizing programs and activities that enrich the research environment, administering extramural research awards, publishing working papers, and making direct grants for research.
