Tobacco Control Successes in California: A Focus on Young People, Results from the California Tobacco Surveys, 1990-2002

Abstract

Executive Summary The California Tobacco Surveys (CTS), along with other data sources, have helped document the progress and success of over a decade of tobacco control efforts in California. Some of the most important findings are highlighted below, with reference to Selected Key Findings (KF) appearing on the following pages that provide more detail. Since young people are the focus of this report, findings pertaining to adolescents and young adults are presented first.
