Every spring, approximately 150 papers are submitted by the medical students. From 1995 to 1998 Felice Kurtzman read all papers and selected approximately 30 for further review. These 30 papers were then read by the rest of the editorial board. Published papers were reviewed by four or five editors. In 1999 a guest editorial board was established. All submitted papers were read by three guest editors and one permanent editor. The 30 best papers were read by the five permanent editors. All published papers were read by seven editors. The permanent editorial board finalized publication decisions under the guidance of Felice Kurtzman.
