Below is the tentative timeline and instructions for submission. Please read all these instructions carefully, and contact challenger@ucsd.edu if you have any questions. 

Timeline: Please note that due dates are subject to change as extensions are given and drafts are reviewed.

Summer quarter: Submissions Application Opens

December 8th, 2023: Submissions Application Closes

December 20th, 2023: Faculty Advisor Approval Form, Cover Sheet, and BioSketch Form due

December 31st, 2023: Submit Paper to Janeway (EScholarship)

January 15th, 2023: Notification of Acceptance/Rejection + Mentor/Mentee Matchup

• During this period (between 1/15 and 2/10) we highly recommend that authors meet with their mentor in-person.

February 10th, 2023: First Drafts Returned to Authors

March 1st, 2023: Second Draft due to Mentors

April 1st, 2023: Second Draft Returned to Authors

May 10th, 2023: Final Draft due
